HITIO Gym brings a unique fitness concept to Tavira, combining a modern gym facility with top-of-the-range equipment and fitness classes complemented by a versatile martial arts class schedule available for ages from 5 years, creating the ultimate family fitness experience.

We are a local, family-run business and welcome everyone, regardless of your background, size, age or fitness level. We are here to create a friendly and fun atmosphere to help you achieve your fitness and health goals. Train with your friends, family or individually!

HITIO Gym welcomes ALL visitors to Tavira.

Our gym is located 2 minutes’ walk from the Roman bridge. In addition to new, high-quality equipment for strength and endurance training – we also offer different group training classes. You can check our timetable on our website.

Our professional team will be happy to welcome you for a free assessment session. If you’re satisfied, we have flexible membership solutions including daily and weekly passes, so if you’re only staying for a few days or weeks, we can offer you the best solution.

We also have Personal Trainers available, if you prefer. All our staff and PTs speak English and Portuguese.

Fantastic gym; definitely the best in Tavira. Flexible term memberships as I am only here for short periods of time. The staff are professional, friendly and the facilities are excellent. Free weights, machines, matrix , treadmills etc: everything for a proper , focussed work-out. I believe the classes are great too. Particularly strong on boxing/kick boxing. Even a (cosy) sauna too! Never over busy and a great multi cultural atmosphere : Norwegian(owner), Brazilian, Portuguese and welcoming to all. Take a bow Jorge and the team.

I had joined this gym for the 2 months we were in Tavira. I have been to numerous gyms in the US and other countries for over 40 years. Hitio Gym is excellent. They have a very good variety of weights and aerobic machines, space for stretching, exercise classes, and trainers. The gym is clean and the staff is very friendly & helpful. It met all my needs. I would highly recommend this gym for anyone (experienced or beginners). I plan to return to the Hitio Gym when we return to Tavira next year.
